Our vision is to empower women (and building a men's group too!) to find meaningful and lasting work. To do this, we offer 9-week semesters in the Spring and the Fall with classes that include Jobs For Life. This curriculum takes them on a journey of personal and professional development.  They will complete our program with new-found confidence in themselves and a new path where they are prepared to overcome most obstacles they may face.  We desire to equip them with the knowledge and resources they need to reach beyond their circumstances and bring about lasting change.

 Christian Job Corps of Abilene has served the Abilene community since 2006. It was founded as a way to provide a means for women to find substantial employment and meet their family's needs. CJC, not only offers the Jobs For Life class, but we also offer classes such as time management, financial fitness, boundaries in relationships, and computer skills that are required in today's job market.  We are invested in preparing our participants to find employment that will lead them to self-sufficiency.  

Each person who comes to our program has their own story.  That story, their testimony, is so important in who they are, and has contributed to the many skills they have developed along the way.  We are honored to be a small part of that story and want to build on what they have already been given. 

Our organization is a faith-based program that keeps Christ and his work in our lives as our focus.  We challenge our participants to have faith that God has a plan: "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
