Volunteer Spotlight: Grace Jones

Grace Jones is a very special volunteer with CWJC. She has a heart of gold and loves to impact those around her with her kindness. Grace has volunteered with us as a champion in our Jobs for Life class. It is here that she facilitates discussion, shares her personal experiences and encourages the women in our program. She also helps with mock interviews and guides our participants on how they can strengthen their presentation during a real job interview. Her knowledge and experience as a social worker has made her an asset to our classroom and our organization.

Something you may not know about Grace…she has authored a children’s book, Jimmy’s Answer, where she gently guides a child’s thought process to know that “bad thoughts” are not something to feel bad about having, especially when you are hurt. It is a great book for a parent-child discussion; to generate a healthy dialog about how your feelings are not wrong and that God has an everlasting love for us.
